No Summer Vacation for Kashmir Schools, Decision to Depend on Weather


Srinagar: Amidst speculations of an early summer vacation due to prevailing weather conditions in Kashmir, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, has ruled out the possibility of closing schools for now.(Kashmir Student Network)


In a statement issued today, VK Bidhuri clarified that while the administration is monitoring the weather situation closely, the academic calendar needs to be adhered to. “We understand the concerns regarding the weather, but shutting down schools for summer vacation at this stage is not feasible,” he said.(KSN)


The Div Com further assured that students who are unable to attend school due to adverse weather conditions will not face any attendance-related issues.The well-being of our students is paramount, and we will not penalize those who cannot make it to school due to unavoidable circumstances,” he added.

The decision to consider summer vacation will be taken at a later stage based on a comprehensive assessment of the weather conditions.
